Vintage 1950's Swimsuits

Through out my early years of collecting, I was lucky enough to find a few vintage swimsuits. Most of them dated from the 1950's. The 1950's was a time when body shaping swimwear was all the fashion. Many of these beauties had boning, full bra inserts and zippers. In the 50’s after the war the use of material was not so strained and they started adding pleats, gathers, ruching, folds etc. The swimsuits featured here are testimonies of that era.
