During the
80’s, shopping second hand stores was the main source of creating my wardrobe.
Vintage items from the 50’s were abundant, affordable, stylish and just
glamorous. Pencil skirts, fabulous
jewelry, Lucite handbags, pill box hats and beautiful vintage shoes. It is a treat to wear the glamorous look of
the 40’s and 50’s.
Any chance I
was given I would buy vintage shoes. My collection eventually grew to 20 plus.
Each pair just as beautiful as the next; each having their own story to tell. Who
wore these beauties? Where did they wear them to? Did they wear them dancing or
to the office? This is always the wonder of buying vintage…I love dreaming of
the story! Here is my story…This photo was taken of me modeling for a friend in the 80’s. I am wearing these beautiful vintage black with rhinestone and side cut out shoes. A time gone by…..One piece of the story told....
